SteelShop have completed delivery of a 200 metre high communications mast to its new home in the Isle of Wight for a project carried out for Babcock Networks. The galvanised angle framed mast will replace an existing tower which supports communications equipment soon to be decommissioned.

SteelShop manufactured the mast from its site in Loughborough and shipped the component parts in six loads over to the Island to be installed by Babcock special heights installations team. The many thousands of parts were each individually hard stamped with a unique reference to aid identification and set up on site. The build has gone extremely well and the last mast sections are to be lifted into place over the next few weeks to complete the project in line with programme.
